IN THE NEWS: Kindergarten enrollment drops 11.5 percent in Pittsburgh school district

While Pittsburgh Public Schools enrollment has been dropping for years, officials took heart that in the past two years kindergarten enrollment was up. However, this fall kindergarten enrollment is down 11.5 percent from last year, and the district’s enrollment K-12 overall is down 1.72 percent.
